Alice Carter Charity

Established over 100 years ago, the Alice Carter Charity - or Carter’s Charity (Charity Commission website opens in new tab) - exists “for the benefit of poor widows in the parishes of Brill, Boarstall or Oakley or in default of poor widows poor spinsters either in gifts in kind or grants of money”. Funded by rents from Brill Allotments and income from investments, the charity makes annual grants, usually around Christmas. Email the Secretary.
