Brill MUGA : bookings & guidance

The MUGA storage unit in place

Using the MUGA

Don’t forget to bring racquets, balls and whatever else you need for your game.

You’ll find the tennis net in the large metal cabinet at the Scout Hut end of the MUGA. The lock code is 0104. Please return the net to the cabinet when you have finished, push the doors hard to shut, make sure the handle is fulled turned, and reset the lock. Thank you!

If your booking is late in the day, we do have some portable floodlights available. Please email us at least a week ahead of your game.

Do not drive to the MUGA; the school carpark is not for public use, even during the holidays. If you have to come to Brill by car, please use the parking areas by the windmill or behind the Memorial Hall in Church Street. Please DO NOT park on The Green or along The Firs.

How to erect the tennis net for play

The tennis net posts slot into the designated holes in the surface. Here’s the best way to fix it. You need two people to do this easily.

  1. place first post into nearest hole

  2. walk across the court, unrolling the net as you go

  3. place second post into far hole

  4. tighten the net using the hand wheel on the first post

Please remove and stow the net and posts in the metal cabinet at the end of your session. We find it’s best to loosen the net tension first before removing the far post from its hole.

Brill MUGA : A Community Success Story

The MUGA didn’t spring up overnight like a mushroom! Many people worked very hard to make it happen. Read about them here.
