There are many thriving groups, charities, and societies in the parish. Representatives of many of the groups attended the Annual Parish Meeting in late May 2022; read their reports. Some also produced a Brill Flag for the Jubilee in May 2022; take a look at the Gallery.
Under Section 137 of the Local Government Act 1972, the parish council is able to give financial support for projects of direct benefit to the community. Find out more about this and complete our straightforward request form.

We live in a wonderful place and we want other people to feel welcome here, too. The Brill Society
A local history and heritage group established in 1965, The Brill Society manages Brill Windmill on behalf of the Parish Council.
Brill Memorial Hall
One of the biggest village halls in the area with a large modern kitchen; reduced rates for local people. Details of the rooms and a bookings calendar available on the Hall website. Read the Memorial Hall’s annual report. The manager is Kate, email brillmemorialhall@outlook.com
Brill Toddler Group
A great meeting place for mums, bumps, babies and toddlers, held every Wednesday during term time, 0930-1100 in Brill Memorial Hall. Bobbi is the co-ordinator; call 07594 349702 or email below.
Brill Festival
A wonderful three-day celebration of live music, comedy, classic cars, beer and much, much more over the August BH weekend.
Beaver Scouts
Beavers are going strong in Brill with two groups, meeting Monday and Tuesday evenings. Mark Lambert is the group leader.
Brill Climate Action Group
Formed in late 2021, BCAG is an action-based group and font of sensible, do-able suggestions for ways in which we can all play our part in meeting the challenge of the Climate Emergency.
1st Brill Scout Group
Scouts and Cubs are going strong in Brill, welcoming both girls and boys. The Group’s main fundraiser is a wonderful fireworks display early in November.
WI
Active branch of the national Women’s Institute. Monthly meetings and Have A Natter informal get-togethers on the last Tuesday of the month in members’ homes. Jenny Edmans is the President. Read Brill WI’s annual report.
Brill Cinema
New and classic films shown regularly throughout the winter months in the Memorial Hall. Email brillcinema@gmail.com
Brill Cricket Club
Founded in 1868 and now competing in Division 3 of the Oxfordshire Cricket Association.
Brill United Football Club
After a quiet year or so, Brill Football has regrouped under the name of Ashton Folly. The team has a number of fixtures booked for the 2022 season. All over-16s welcome; why not drop-in at 6.30pm for Wednesday training and say hello?
