community life-saving training

Please fill in the form below to reserve your place. If you need to know more before booking, email Hannah Hulme Hunter. Training takes place most months throughout the year in Brill Sports & Social Club, adjacent to All Saints Church, Brill.

Training lasts about an hour, usually 11am to 12 noon. We follow the community training syllabus provided by the British Heart Foundation, using individual mannikins (paid for by Haddenham & Waddesdon Community Board). Training is led by DVD instructors - with a knowledgable facilitator in attendance to answer any questions. We cover adult CPR, child CPR, and use of a public access defibrillator. Certificates are awarded when the training has been completed and follow-up information and answers to any out-standing questions will be emailed to participants a few days later.

CPR conventionally stands for ‘cardio-pulmonary resuscitation’. This community training is a simplified, user-friendly version of professional CPR training; hence the description used by the British Heart Foundation: CALL - PUSH - RESCUE! CALL for help. PUSH on the Chest. RESCUE!
