A message from Marcia Davies, organiser of the Brill Foodbank CollectionHave you ever been hungry? Really hungry? For some families, hunger is a daily challenge, even in leafy Bucks. Donating to the Brill foodbank collection is a quick and easy way to support these families. It happens every month, usually on the first Saturday. Simply leave your food donations in the bus shelter on The Square by 9am for collection and transportation by North Bucks Food Drive to Aylesbury Vineyard Storehouse for sorting and distribution. The Brill Foodbank Collection was a real powerhouse of generosity during the pandemic and immediately afterwards but sadly, in the past year, donations have trailed off - even though the need is still there, perhaps more than ever. Let’s boost our donations and show Quainton and Oakley and all the other villages what Brill can do - and, more importantly, make a real difference to struggling families. Keep an eye out for posters for updates on food items most in demand as the months go by - and thank you so much.
